All of the factors mentioned are important and helped clarify for me, as I mentioned, we are new.
I'm all for SC focused environments and support. My child is very bright, and mostly well behaved but needs the focus on behaviors carried over from preschool to continue to improve social skills amongst peers.
Thanks again!
Was just curious was it a whole school of kids needing "behavioral improvement "
So, to summarize, you get a newsletter that says they are implementing a program to work on social and emotional issues and that they are adding another administrator. You know so little about the school that it doesn't occur to you that they are adding a grade each year. And you know so little about the school that it doesn't occur to you that social and emotional well being is a core tenet of TR and that they constantly do surveys of the kids to understand how they can do better. But your first instinct is to post an open ended question to DCUM!!! Not to email the school or call them?
When I originally saw your post I assumed you were a troll; or perhaps someone really close on the WL who was trying to put yourself over the top. But you are apparently for real. Please do everyone at all charter and DCPS schools a favor and decamp for the burbs now.
