I am an expert waxer and I wax myself at home. I love being hairless (clean, smooth, more sensations) and I love the convenience of doing it at home. I use hard wax and do very small areas at a time, so it is not painful, The only time it was painful was when I got it done at a salon. It was painful, embarrassing, expensive, inconvenient and resulted in huge amount of ingrown hair. It was a complete and utter mess.

My DH has not mentioned what he prefers, and I basically do it for myself.

No, but I never did. I keep myself groomed, shaved, and trimmed down there and that's all I need. DH doesn't like completely hairless, and that's a good thing because I have no wish to be waxing it.

Hell no

42, single, and I've had guys express relief that I have hair.

It's there for a reason. It traps bacteria so it doesn't go straight to your vagina or urethra. It prevents chafing. It's not healthy to wax it.

I do shave on the bikini line. But to shave or wax the actual labia? Why??

This is my second marriage. My first husband really disliked completely hairless. He said it made him feel like a pedophile.

Mine also mentioned the pedophile thing.

I would like to wax, but I'm too afraid of the pain and it seems too expensive.

Trimmed. DH seems very happy.

Brazilian once. Was so irritated that I was out of commission for days.

Mid-thirties, no grooming. Not very hairy though

No, but I never did take it all off. Close trim only.

+1, Age 41. I didn't do that when I was unmarried either. Life is too short to do something that painful on purpose.

I rarely take it all off. DH has a cultural preference for a full bush. Our compromise is I trim the mound short and wax the bikini areas.

Just curious. I know younger women do and many divorced women over 40.
