There's a nut on our street that puts out corn and sunflower seeds for the deer. That doesn't stop the deer from destroying everything in the other yards. Don't be that person.

Well, if it's winter and there's a lot of snow on the ground, I wouldn't fault you for putting some hay out for them. If you feed them only during emergencies then they won't become accustomed.

I don't feed them in person. They live in my yard anyway, in the section that grows wild next to county property.

Put out a salt lick in the winter too. I always feed deer and they love the salt.

Deer are wild animals,they know how to forage for food and need no help. You feed them and they will turn into a nuisance. Plus you'll probably piss off your neighbors.
