Our youngest is not mine biologically. She was conceived while her mother and I were in the midst of a trial seperation. We reconciled shortly after my wife found out she was pregnant. As far as I'm concerned she is my daughter and have never once looked at her any less than if she was biologically mine. Our therapist, my wifes sister and ger doctor are the only ones who know I am not the father. As far as everyone else is concerned there is no reason to question it.

No and hell no. This is the greatest betrayal and nothing comes close. I would be quicker to forgive her for cheating with my best friend for years than to be pregnant with another man's child

Abortion or not, I wouldn't want her around if she got knocked up by another guy. It's not the baby's fault she couldn't keep her legs closed, so I wouldn't want her to get an abortion, but I'd sure as hell want her out of my life.

I wouldn't. But we also live in a country where abortions are freely available, and most people support at least some level of abortion availability. And i think it would be pretty fair to ask DW to have an abortion in that case, even if she wasn't thrilled with the idea. And it would be reasonable to make the abortion an ultimatum for my staying.

It seems to be much more common than we think. A lot of it is DADT, esp. if there are other children already. We know one family where the birthdates conflict with the father serving in WWII and Korea. Mom seems to have gotten lonely twice. You wouldn’t have guessed by how he treated them.

I know a couple where they briefly separated and the wife got pregnant. They got back together and the husband raised the child like his own and went on togave two more kids. Last I heard, they were happily married still. It takes a big man to accept a situation like this. I am sure in the old days it happened a lot. I think that if it wasn’t the result of cheateting (like in my example) the husband might be more likely to accept the baby... it’a Definitely a tough call.

If DH had an affair and the mistress died after giving birth, I think I would accept the baby, but not the affair. Maybe if the baby was the result of a one night stand, I might keep both (husband and baby)

My wife and I had these conversations. I told her I would forgive anything but that. Yes, I would sooner forgive a years long affair than a ONS that led to pregnancy. It's the ultimate betrayal and nothing else even comes remotely close.
