When it come to things like qualifying for a home loan small medical collections don’t factor in. Ask any mortgage broker.

No big deal. It's not the end of the world if it goes to collections. Once your insurance pays you, you can pay the urgent care directly what you owe them. It only become a credit issue if it goes to court and there's a judgment against you. You can start by calling the urgent care and asking them to file with your insurance or to wait and give you time to file directly.

My friends or family would have asked me first which urgent care. They also would have had me meet them there so I would have known about the bill. They would not have sat on the bill until the urgent care felt they had to contact me.

It’s a significant sum for us at this time. My DH has cancer and we had both less income and much higher OOP medical bills this year. Our savings are depleted. We can pay it, but it will hurt.

We split her uncovered dental and PT. An estimate is built into CS and anything over that we split. This never should have happened. when the accident happened, they were equidistant from an urgent care that does take my insurance. He wanted the urgent care that was closer to his home.

Usually with out of network, I pay it, and get reimbursed through the insurance benefits.

They just notified me a couple days ago. He’s gotten notices for a couple months.

The court really is t going to care what your divorce agreement says when it comes to paying the urgent care. The divorce agreement is between you and your ex. Nothing good will come of this going to collections.

Call the urgent care and say he is the responsible party, not you.

Ex took DC to an urgent care that doesn’t accept my insurance. DC is covered under my insurance and I generally pay all copays. Ex ignored bill from the urgent care and now they want me to pay it (a few hundred). What recourse do I have?
