+1. Get a maltese, a poodle, or a havanese. Only sketchy breeders will sell "poo" breeds.

Do you have a source for this? Whenever I look at petfinder, about 50% of the dogs are pit bulls, and 25% are chihuahuas. I see very few Maltese, so I have a hard time believing they are the MOST dumped dog.

Really? NP. All of the cockapoos I have met are bat-sh*t crazy. My neighbor's is on psych meds, my son's school friend can't bring theirs around strangers, etc.
