Subject: Rosenthal Honda Fairfax?
OP back. Apparently, they have hidden dealer add-ons which tacked about $700 on the car we planned to buy. When we asked them to remove the dealer added accessories they refused. The salesperson insisted that most dealers do the same. I had to disagree. We just purchased another new Honda a few months ago and found plenty of Honda dealers that don’t. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Wasn't Rosenthal, but another Honda dealership gave us a good price until we sat down and pulled out our checkbook -- we wanted to pay in full, up front, and not finance the purchase. Well, suddenly the price they'd told us only applied if we financed (which of course only benefits Honda's own finance division). Even if you don't plan to pay in full like we wanted to, watch out for stuff like that--you only get the quoted price if you buy the way they want you to buy.
We had that experience at Toyota. So frustrating!

That’s crazy. Thanks for sharing your experience. Now I know to only go with an appointment. Of course, that assumes their numbers add up and they will put them in writing.

Well, suddenly the price they'd told us only applied if we financed (which of course only benefits Honda's own finance division). Subject: Rosenthal Honda Fairfax?
We found a great deal on a car here but I’m nervous given the horrible reviews on yelp, etc. I don’t care about their service dept as they’re not very convenient. I would just like to hear if anybody has had a positive or negative experience with new car sales. I’m worried we’ll drive all the way there and be told they won’t honor the price or the vehicle isn’t available. Thanks!
