I do agree with the above poster about improved step accuracy, but I think that's because Fitbit Versa and Apple are both using GPS to determine your stride length rather than using a general calculation based on height, etc.
I didn't get the Apple Watch because of cheapness and my previous Fitbit (Charge HR) lasted 4 years.

I was getting 15-18k steps a day with Fitbit and I only get 10-12 with Apple. Some days Fitbit said I burned 2800-3200 calories and my norm with apple is about 2200. I am happy with Apple and feel it works much better as an activity watch.
