Yeah, I won’t do it with DH when he’s drunk, but it’s not terribly often and it doesn’t bother me that he drinks. He goes out with friends maybe 2-3 times a month (we don’t have kids and his friends don’t). So while I don’t find drunk DH terribly attractive, it doesn’t bother me that much.

There are times we both get drunk and I’m sure I’m no peach either, lol.

OK, that sounds reasonable. I was completely sober, having spent a sweet day with the kids (no resentment). But ... sober people just don't like drunk people.

Nope, I loathe my drunk husband. He isn't nasty or anything (thank god, not an angry drunk) but he's a lightweight and he very quickly just gets sloppy and stupid. And he can easily get to the point of throwing up - which I have zero respect for in a man in his mid-40s.

It's one of our biggest marital issues (and was an issue while dating also.)

He thinks I'm uptight and weird about it because I come from a long line of alcoholics and addicts - and there is some validity in that.

I've seen my spouse tipsy maybe twice in 9 years. Both times, we were in our late 20s/early 30s, so it was cute. Now that we have two kids and lots of responsibilities, I don't think it would be remotely charming, unless we were alone on vacation.

Yup, this is my experience with DH as well, but this reaction might skew more female. In my limited experience, DH is not grossed out at all by me when I’m drunk.

Also pissed at my drunk spouse. He does not seem to understand that when he is mopey and low-energy the day after, it affects the whole family and does not put me in the mood for the sex that he then tries to initiate.
