They just started supporting beneficiaries! They’ve got the best app and my money market rate keeps increasing every few weeks w the rate increases. I love it

Yes, free ATMs. We were at a sport tournament out of state in the middle of nowhere and needed more cash than what I had brought. ATM fee was $3, which was refunded to me by Cap One.

Did you have to call them to get them to refund it?

I find that I have to use CapOne ATMs or get charged by both the bank I'm using and CapOne. They refunded fees once because the ATM I used messed up and charged me multiple times for the same transaction, but they still left the fee for one transaction.

That said, there are enough CapOne ATMs around (and in metros, which is handy) that I've never really had a problem. Just have to make sure to get cash out before I travel anywhere (and there are ATMs at the airports). I have checking, savings, and MM with them.

It is automatically refunded up to I think $15 a month. I almost never go to a capital one ATM, I just use whatever one is near me and Capital one refunds the fees.

I've had Capital One 360 for years, since it was an ING Direct account. I've had no problems. They have checking. I've had a few messed up ATM withdrawals over the years, and double charges at retailers, and they've been credited back immediately while they were being investigated.

Just traveled out of the country and wanted to alert them of that. They said as long as I have a chip in my card, it will be just fine. Sometimes I used to get fraud alerts when I charged stuff out of the country. But everything was seamless.

No real fees that I can see. At least not the way I use it. I have direct deposit in it. If that matters. I don't really pay much attention.

Stick with a credit union instead and keep the 360 savings.

Missed this what??

Not the poster that you are replying to, but it seems fairly obvious that the misspelled word is “Question”. Not that hard...

Oh yes, obviously!

My primary account is Ally. They have great rates and do everything well.

I need a brick and mortar bank only a few times a year.

If you do money market with them as well, it’s a pretty good interest rate. The only problem I had with their checking account is they don’t do wires except to a title company, which is a rare enough occurrence. Their website and app is also a little basic.

I don't have any fees. I like it. You can do a search on the app for a free ATM near you. But mostly I deposit any checks I get on my cell phone, and take out cash when I'm buying groceries.

I switch money between my checking and savings acct with ease.

Cap one bank does not support beneficiaries. You would be forced to go through probate court if the account holder dies, unless you are a joint account holder.

Love Cap One. Can switch $$ from checking/savings/money market with ease. Best part? Money account for teens. Their job $, allowance $ all goes in there. They have debit/atm cards and are in charge of their own money. I never have to make sure I have money for allowance, or because one is going to the mall with friends, etc. Helps them with budgeting as well.
