Ha! She’s definitely good enough but isn’t really excited about chemistry on the teams. We have several friends who warned us about the cut throat feeling on some of the older teams and DD is not sure she wants that so she’s looking at other options. Not everyone is thrilled with their Capital experience.

MCElite tends to favor SR girls and ones who play for coach of team at their high school. This is based on feedback I've gotten from many parents on the MC Elite team (makes sense) and Rebels is the same for GC girls. Still considering M&D and Heroes, not sold on anything yet, but they really aren't closer. We just found MD United to be a surprisingly friendly team when my daughter practiced with them and feel like that's a big piece of the puzzle given that you spend a lot of time on the road playing together.

She will be in high school. So there aren’t practices during the week except May-July.

Interesting. I agree with the different vibe but I think many parents on DC area teams can be rude and not welcoming to people they haven't known forever. In terms of girls wanting to be on better club teams, which ones? They all seem really happy TBH.

Totally different demographic than the DC teams. Many of the parents are horrible (loud, rude, aggressive) on the sidelines. A few nice families but most of the HS girls want to be on better clubs and cant make the jump. I would proceed with caution.

My daughter is thinking of moving to Maryland United and I was interested to hear if anyone has feedback about the club. It's a bit of a drive for us but in high school that's not a big deal because the practices are not as frequent (or on weekends). She said the girls are a lot more welcoming and fun than the ones on many of the immediate DC area clubs and they also have a full time recruiting director on staff, which is a nice bonus. Having played against them in the past, we have always had a favorable impression of the overall club but wanted to see if anyone had experience there.
