that’s Baltimore for you. How can you compare to nw dc?

PP has a point. We live in Alexandria and the Catholic diocesan elementary and high schools have similar prices to what the Anne Arundel poster quoted.

Baltimore is not in Anne Arundel county.

No but that is the city where most Anne Arundel county people commute to. The price difference is astounding in real estate too.

It's Catholic #1. #2, it's Baltimore.

I wasn’t comparing the quality of schools, just commenting on the price difference. Clearly, NW DC is far superior to us lowlifes in Anne Arundel in every possible way. Thank you for setting me straight.

Agree, even the k-8s are getting to be over-the-top expensive.

I would advise you to use your very good NW public elementary (assuming you are in boundary for one of them) and save your money for a good private (which are not as cheap as 20-25K) down the road. There are some Catholic schools and a micro school under 25K but that is about it.

The schools that end earlier are usually a bit less expensive since they don’t need to inflate the elementary school tuition to subsidize a high school (high schools are more expensive to operate than lower schools). Consider Concord Hill, Primary day, some of the k-8’’s.

Usually Montessori schools are less expensive. Aidan is $28K, which I know is slightly above your budget, but is significantly less than the vast majority of other NW DC schools.

Are there any good affordable private schools in and around NW DC for my child who will be ready for Kindergarten in a year? Affordable in my case is about $20-25K, which is what I pay for my child's preschool.
