That’s kidnapping. Do that and you’re in legal trouble

Start buying gift cards to places you normally buy stuff- Giant or Target. Buy enough to get you through 2-3 months or at least supplement if things get tight.

Why do you think HE would move out?!? Agree: talk to an attorney.

Talk to a lawyer. Understand legal options and risks. Understand your finances. Have a plan to support yourself if needed. Have enough cash to get through at least 3-6 months in case there is a fight about $. Think about all the possible ways he might respond and make sure you have a plan for each. Do NOT move out, move money, etc before you speak to a lawyer.

The fact that you have so much time to plan is great. A lawyer is literally step one.

Then start keeping track of the finances so that you know what you have, how much debt there is, etc, and keep your own records of it.

Unless you are leaving someone who is a risk to your safety, you don't just leave with the kids. That sounds traumatizing for the kids...taken from their dad as their home and community.

First, get clear with a lawyer. You exiting the home could count against you (abandonment). Get legal advice before you do anything.

Hope you’ve got some money at the ready.

Tell my spouse I am moving out with the kids and insisting on a divorce?
