We had tickets for tonight’s rainout. The announcement at the ballpark and the email we received both say we can log into our MLB account and go to “Exchange” to swap for tomorrow’s game, but when I do that it says there are no tickets available to exchange. I do still see the tickets we had, but nothing shows under “Exchange”.

Any ideas? I might just have to call the box office tomorrow.

Also, the center field gates are the worst. Do the side or home plate entrances. 100 times better in terms of lines.

OP go through stubhub. Due to lack of planning, my husband and kids and I went to a game a couple weeks ago and overpaid for tickets, one of which was for a seat with an obstructed view. The person working the box office was completely unhelpful when we were selecting seats. It’s much better to research views online.

You’d be surprised, more games sell out than you probably think. Get there early and try the box office today if you didn’t go the stubhub route. If you can skip bringing a purse do that (shorter entrance lines), get there early and watch the grounds crew set up the field, and enjoy the game. There really isn’t a bad seat at Nats park.

One issue with stubhub is, if there is a problem (e.g., rain postponement), you can not exchange the tickets for another day.

^^PP here. I forgot to add that I like bringing a hat because the lights bother my eyes after a while. You can also bring in your own food - single servings only! Go to the Nats website for their outside food policy.

I agree with the PPs that you're better off getting the tix in advance (cheaper, better choices), games are usually about 3 hours and to get there a little early to enjoy the pre-game stuff. I would add, that you may want to consider getting seats anywhere along the left (3rd base) side so you won't be getting the afternoon sun. It's F'ing HOT!

You can get better seats if you buy ahead of time. Stubhub has lots of good seats for most games, and at a good range of prices.

And, yes, about three hours is usually about right.

Get there early enough to enjoy all the pregame activities going on. If you are there early enough, you can sometimes see the opposing team taking batting practice.

Please excuse my naivete but I have two questions about going to a Nats game. A friend and I have always wanted to go just for the experience, not so much because we're avid baseball fans, but because it would be fun to go on a beautiful summer day. We want to go the Marlins game tomorrow...

Q 1: Can we just purchase tix at the box office? I know games don't usually sell out.
Q 2: How long do games usually last? It starts at 1:30... so about 3 hours, right?
