If he had gone with the US this World Cup he would have been rolling in even more $ than he already is. He is American through and through. I couldn’t see him playing for Croatia.

I think at the end of the day, it depends whether you are likely to make it consistently in the better team. That's notably the case for European teams, where many players of African descent choose on this basis.


I'm not one of those americans who thinks pulisic is as good as mbappe but he would start in place of ante rebic. Pulisic is rated a LOT higher than Ante Rebic. Pulisic would be in the 23 easily, if not in the XI as currently constructed.

I would want them to play for the country that provided the most professional opportunities. Simple as that.

Once you are seriously talking about a kid at that level, just go for what is best for their career.


+1. Including my son and also my daughter. I'd see doing e.g. France, England, Germany. I'd much rather see her play in the FA WSL and get to participate in the Women's UEFA. In fact, I heard a lot from people about the growth of Spain and Brazil's programs. China and Japan also have great programs, and their youth teams look impressive.

Agree with this and also doubt Pulisic would have had a shot at playing time with Croatia in this World Cup. He's in a good professional situation in Germany, and may have a shot to be a star with the US team for several cycles. Better than watching the WC from the bench.


you think ante rebic and marko pjaca are better than him? There is no club in Europe that would rather have rebic than pulisic.
