If you actually walk down an aisle and gaze into a person's eyes and say wedding vows and the equivalent of "I do," how does a person take it seriously when the other person is doing the same ritual and making the same promise for the 5th time?! It's like a joke.

Just like Lance Armstrong's engagement to a woman a year and two months ago. Still not married and they've been dating twelve years with two children. At this point why bother? I guarantee you, she wanted that ring.
