Our mortgage is under $2k.
No child care (kids are older).
College will be in-state tuition with help from the grandparents.
I'm hoping we can save more (although we both have pensions and 401ks), but I'm really hoping we can travel more and update our home (nothing crazy---thinking new furniture, not construction/renovations).
We already travel a fair amount: one big trip that involves airplanes, plus 4-6 overnights or long weekends throughout the year (involving cars, not planes). And, we go to the local beaches 2x a summer. Nonetheless, I'm hoping the bump will allow us to do Disney and Europe sometime in the next couple years.

We do one international carribeqn vacation a year or visit friends in Europe to save on lodging. If not for the childcare it would be so so nice (and was). I don’t go crazy shopping for brand name stuff but I have enough clothes, furniture, gadgets etc.
We have an old house so spend more fixing it up than we’d like and due to childcare Dh is still driving a 15 year old Toyota.
We have about the same piti at childcare and things always feel too tight for vacations. Can I ask what your take-home number is?

How much do you bring home with $235 gross?
How much do you budget for housing?
How much do you spend on travel? What kinds of vacations do you take?
