Its also very commonly used to help get in to one of the Ivies. Tons of kids around here go on to play lacrosse at Ivy League schools.

Yes. Not many are awarded, and it's not a lot of money.

I see folks doing clubs etc spending thousands trying to get a LAX scholarship. Is it necessary. To be good of course an absolute necessity. But to get achooorship?

Only ask as I never played Lacrosse in HS. At college Freshman year I was approached to be on team with scholarship. I thought it was scam but met with coach. He said I sent players out to find practice team folks. Told him never played. He said you ran track HS and around six foot two inch. You stand in middle and try to block stars in practice. I show form to Mom as wanted parental sign off. She reads they are not liable any injuries, they can drop me anytime, 20 hours a week practice, not Allowed job during season.

You are a tackling/crash test dummy no way. So I could get it but at what price.
