You can get a drip hose and garden timer. We used the Miracle Gro drip hose I believe. You don’t have to do much set up just have it run through your garden beds or over your containers. Try and set up right away so you can make sure it works a few days before you leave.

I've used this but for indoor plants that I had grown from seed. Works beautifully!

As a heads up, I've tried ceramic plugs that you insert into the soil of the container, with a thin water line that you drop into a soda bottle filled with water. The idea is the water in the soda bottle moves towards the ceramic plug which slowly dispenses the water into the soil. Either I didn't know how to use it, or it's a waste of time.

Hi, We have several tomato, cucumber pepper plants on the pots and doing well. But we are going out of town for a week . It is going to be 90+ degree weather next week. I am sure they will all be ruined when we are back Any tips and idea? Is saucer going to help? I don't want to trouble others to come over to water them. Many thanks
