Also you have to consider the end of the year activities if the school had something like a field day or something. Attendance might not have been entered in correctly. As well as PARCC testing.

Do you think the number is accurate, and just weren't expecting to see excused absences on the report card? Or do you think there are more absences than is accurate?

She was "accounted for" but technically missed class. It's how MCPS defines "attendance"

OP, My son's MS report card showed him absent 4-5 times from MP 4 (depending on the class). We figured out the 5:
- 1 day of illness (during PARCC)
- 1 day from 3 classes to make up PARCC
- 3 all day field trips

You can also look on the my MCPS portal under "Attendance" and see the days/codes used for absences.

DDs middle school report card has many more absences listed than what is true. Anyone else notice this?
