I know this is hyper-local, but the creationist, white supremacist, Roy Moore loving Michael Peroutka lost his primary for Anne Arundel County Council.
Here is one of his more charming statements, urging people not to vote:
"If, on the other hand, you are someone who doubts or does not believe that there is such a thing as right or wrong, then I ask you to stay home and NOT to vote.
Without a firm, moral standard, you are not qualified to cast a vote, because, among other things, if you don’t believe that there is a right thing to do, then you can’t do the right thing."
