Met at 36 (39 for him), married two years later. We did a small registry at the request of my parents' friends.

Met at 34, engaged at 36, married at 38. It was my second marriage (his first) so no shower and thus no registry.

I know I am too young, but DH was over 30. I was 28 and DH was 32 when we started dating. We knew each other prior to that. We were engaged, nine months later and married 6 months after that. I was 30 and DH was 33. We registered for the nice stuff we did not have. We did not register for the everyday things.

Met at 32/33 engaged at 9 months, married at 1.5 years together. It was our first marriage, I didn't want a registry but people bugged us for one. We ended up getting just about everything we asked for plus a ton of cash. People were super generous.

Met when I was 30, he was 33. Engaged at 8 months, married at 18 months, did not have a registry but we also had a very small wedding (less than 30 people in attendance) and didn't do much of the traditional wedding stuff.

Moved in together after 4 months, married 8 months after that.

Met just after I turned 30, he was 37. Dated 5 years, engaged 4 months (had a small wedding). We registered for dinnerware and silverware only - we had been living together for 3 years at that point, and had purchased a house together, so didn't really need anything.

Met at 32. He proposed at 3 months but I told him to wait at least a year before asking again. Eventually we had a five month engagement and married two years to the day from the day we met. Still going strong over 10 years later.

No registry. We both already had full households and plenty of stuff. I did have a lot of people ask about one so I think it would've been equally fine to have one, but they all seemed to be okay with going off on their own when we told them we didn't have one.

Met just before my 33rd birthday, DH was 35, engaged at a year, married 8 months later. We did have a registry, my parents wanted it for their friends.

Met at 31, engaged at 34, married at 34, we did a honeyfund.

Met at 32. Engaged 16 months later. Married 9 months later. Yes on registry, but mainly for my family and their friends.
