This is perfectly reasonable. You are not obligated to see Hamilton just because you can afford it. If it's not your cup of tea, no worries.
However, the OP said she "really would like to see Hamilton" but is too cheap to. And yes, OP, when you have a net worth of more that $10 million and don't do things you want to do and easily can afford, it isn't thrifty, it's cheap.
