I don’t know much anything but I much preferred to have my library named Bethedsa library.

Connie was a wonderful woman and a very good friend of my parents who came to our wedding. I thought she was doing a good job and I was still thrilled to vote for Van Hollen because it helped Newt not be Speaker anymore. That’s how bad he and that crop of 1994 Republicans were. She went on to be one of the few W. appointees who actually did good work. Really glad they named the library after her.

In addition to being a responsive congresswoman and a thoughtful educator, Connie raised her sister’s 6 children in addition to her own 3 children after her sister died of cancer.

Not Mother Teresa, necessarily, but a fine woman.

Incorrect. Morella was one of only 4 House Republicans to vote against all 4 articles of impeachment.

You can see a photo of her leaving her Congressional office when you look up "gerrymandering" in the dictionary.
Her constituents didn't turn against her, her constituents were exchanged for a different set of reliably Democratic voting constituents by the legislature and governor after the 2000 census.

I'm a Democrat.

She is a nice person, a Republican who represented much of Montgomery County for years.
Mostly she voted for the way Dems would vote, but she would always vote with the Republicans
on a procedural vote.

So I'm guessing she would do nothing about Trump and always vote with him. That is why even though I
liked her, I worked for State Senator Chris Van Hollen to win the Democratic primary 2002 against formidable opponents that year
and he was able to win the House seat because enough people where tired of Republicans.

Van Hollen first started out as a State Delegate in District 20, moved to State Senate and then ran for the House of Reps. Then he ran for US Senate and won.

Now we have Rep Jamie Raskin, for Rep, district 8

Van Hollen worked for Republican senator Mac Mathias for several years.
