Perhaps better advice is to marry someone who loves you in ways that are meaningful to you.
In a marriage that lasts a lifetime, the little things can be very meaningful. Along with his other wonderful qualities, it means a lot to me that my husband has brought me coffee when I was studying or had a long report to write, started my car in the mornings before we left for work and made sure ice was scraped off the windows when we didn't have a garage, and turned on a few lamps if he gets home before me in the winter--makes the house look cozy when returning home after a long day.
