My recently-turned-11yo would have hated pink fuzzy unicorn stuff or anything sparkly. And some parents don't allow nail polish or other primping-type things. My daughter doesn't have a smartphone (nor do most of her friends), so an iTunes gift card might not be a safe bet for an 11yo. Amazon is OK if their parents use it on their behalf, but you're probably safer with some place like Target, where they can get clothes or nail polish or craft kits or whatever they want.

But all her friends, girly or not, would love a slime kit or a gift card to Target or Barnes & Noble (they also have stationary and craft kits, if it turns out she's not a reader). Friendship bracelet kits are usually OK, even for non-girly-girls. My DD and her friends also love origami, so a book and a pack of fancy paper might be a good idea.

11yr old dd and her friends are happy with: $$, huge set of gel pens, jewelry making kits (especially for chokers), bath bombs, and cool stuff for their rooms.

Just had a bday party for my 11 yr old DD. She received pens and sketch pads, specific stuffed animals, crafts, Michaels and amazon gift cards and fun books.

Or get a Michaels gift card, or even Target.

She probably doesnt need another throw pillow, fuzzy blanket or unicorn themed junk.

Mom of an almost 11 year old.

Beach towel and water bottle
Earrings if you know she has pierced ears
Gift card to Target or Starbucks
Slime making materials
Gym bag
Nail polish stuff (base coat, clippers, file, buffer, remover)

Everything else I can think of would require you knowing the girl.

Gel pens and a sketch book, a little mani/pedi kit, small soft and cute stuffed animals, sparkly glue sticks and stuff for drawing, a sparkly wristlet for a cell phone, cute hair things like barrettes and the like, amazon gift card.

Basically girls that age like cute, small, sparkly, soft stuff. If the girl is super sporty then maybe go more towards the gel pens and sketch book or a stuffed animal. If the girl is super girly then the other stuff.

Tween craft set, gift card

My 11 year old son has only attended boy birthday parties in the last few years. The last party where the entire classroom was invited was back in first grade. I have no idea what an 11 year old girl would like as a present. I asked my son to ask the birthday girl, but he can be a bit shy and I think he is embarrassed to ask her. He just started this school in 5th grade so I don't know the girl's parents.
Any suggestions? The party is this Friday.
