One other option is to look for a school with Local Level IV. That way, if your DD isn't admitted during the summer placement round, she can probably get principal placed into the Level IV AAP classroom anyway.

FCPS only uses the CogAT because it's cheap. A high WISC FSIQ and evidence that your child was in gifted programs in the previous school district should be enough. If the OLSAT percentile was high, you should ask your school for a copy of the results.
Yes, we'll just use the results we do have along with the report cards and GT records. The WISC was a 128, so I'll see how it goes. I've asked for a copy of all the testing results.

Well you might as well try for immediate placement. What was the WISC score and OSLAT percentile? You don’t have any means of getting a CogAT now so submit what you have and reapply after taking CogalAT in Fall if needed.

If you move over the summer, there's some process to apply in the summer for immediate placement into AAP. If you don't have any of the required tests, then your child can take the cogat at FCPS in the fall and complete a fall application. If your child is accepted, she can switch to AAP for 3rd quarter.

If your child will be in 3rd grade or older next Fall, you can apply as soon as you move and get a quick decision. What tests do you have? The AAP website lists which tests they will consider. There are many others in addition to the ones administered by FCPS (CogAT and NNAT). If your child does not get in for this Fall, yes, they will administer a CogAT and you can apply for the following year.
