The website for the AAP in Fairfax County lists that just one nationally-normed ability test is required, but I'm wondering now if this is really enough to submit just the WISC and the other percentile score, when it appears the CogAT is widely used there.
FCPS only uses the CogAT because it's cheap. A high WISC FSIQ and evidence that your child was in gifted programs in the previous school district should be enough. If the OLSAT percentile was high, you should ask your school for a copy of the results.

Is this given to new students coming in to FCPS from out of district if they haven’t had one to be considered for the AAP? Just wondering if they’ll use what tests our school current school already did or if they’ll redo everything in the fall once she’s enrolled at the new local school. How long is the process generally to be considered for AAP if moving from out of district to FCPS, is it any different or are results still given in Spring as I’ve been reading on here?
What grade?
