I think the waitlist timeline or whether if it’s a true waitlist depends on the club. Some club gives 5 days for a player to accept (MSI Academy), while other clubs didn’t give a deadline at all (Potomac Soccer). I recommend reaching out to the company coach and ask. This way, you would know for sure and can tryout with other clubs before it’s too late.

I would just keep trying out at other clubs. If the original club is preferred then reach back out IF another club gives you an offer.

Thanks, I think this was in response to my question. We have contacted two other clubs within reasonable driving distance to set up tryouts for DC. Unfortunately we are somewhat limited because DC's grandmother will be driving DC to practices, and isn't willing to drive beyond a certain distance.

Ok, not really just curious. Asking because my child was waitlisted and is driving me insane with asking about what chance there may be of getting called.

What year group is your child? Premier AC still holding tryouts. Today 5:00pm at Luther Jackson Middle School for U9-U13.

Rising U11. Thanks!

We were waitlisted at VYS and didn't ever hear back.

APS went through their waitlist this year for 2010 boys and had to hold another try out.

Being on the 4,5,6th team travel in big clubs is not ideal for most kids who could either do another club or play rec and do camps for comparable training. 2500 buys a lot of private lessons with a travel coach on the side!

It will also happen if a club is a few players short to fill out a whole team. If they can find a couple more players then the team will be added.

It can also happen if they have enough players to add another team but do not yet have a coach.

Why wouldn’t VYS direct the player to rec?

Which Club? VYS had a wait list but pretty much meant your kid didn't make it

it's common in situations where there are more players that tried out then can be added to the teams. If someone rejects the offer then the next person on the wait list gets the opportunity to accept.
