This. I also love myjob most when given freedom. Bad administrators can kill a teacher’s morale. Switching from public to private was the best decision I made as a teacher.

Seeing the growth the kids make. Beginning of the year first grade is so different than end of year. I’m so proud of them!

This! I love my kids the majority of the year. But when senioritis kicks in, I'm as ready to see the seniors gone as they are ready to be gone. Glad for the 1-2 week break from them before celebrating their graduation!

The kids. I teach high school, and they are funny, smart, hard working, caring, authentic human beings. It is a pleasure to watch them learn and grow.

The kids. Watching them learn, mature, and grow before my very eyes throughout the year. Some I get to teach in more than one class (I teach English and drama). I also teach mostly 9th grade, which, to be honest, is a pretty magical age somewhere between childhood and young adulthood.

I love when students finally "get" reading. One of my 1st grade ESOL students went up multiple levels in a short period of time and now that she knows how to read, it's all she wants to do. I love seeing that excitement and pride.
