What do you mean by much more modest increases? It may be that your DCP wasn’t increasing by enough in the past and now finds themselves needing to increase more to make up for it.

3% is pretty typical--that's usually in line with or a bit more than inflation. Individual daycares may be responding to specific circumstances, though (new leases, changing staff costs or enrollment, etc.)

Ours is between 2 and 3 percent, but it's off of a high base; I think if they thought they could raise it more, they would, but it would put them out of line with what other daycares charge.

Ours is between 3 and 4 percent and we had one year (in my 9 years of daycare) where it went up 5.5 and ppl went bat shit crazy.

I don't know what is standard. I know of one that does operating expenses + x%.

I think we have had around 3% each year.

By what percent does your daycare raise their tuition each year? Ours has been going steady at 5% (after several much more modest increases). This seems excessive. Of course I want my DCP to be paid well, but I don't this much of a standard yearly raise (maybe I'm in the wrong field ... )
