Are issue with Natives (Jefferson style) is the height of my DS' foot (his feet are fat, but tall rather than wide). Would the Miller style be any better for that issue?

OP here- that’s really our issue, too. Curious if anyone has insight on these shoes, they’re cute!

Ugh I bought Natives after seeing everyone recommend them and having the same problem. Length they're a bit big, width too small. DD kept pulling them off at the playground and throwing them and after trying to get them back on her sweaty feet 12 times I was ready to throw them too.

Anyone in the market for a worn once used pair of Jeffersons in light blue size 6?

Tsukihosi brand are great for wide feet, and they make sandal versions that are sturdy. They are pricy, but take a look on some discount sites like zappos or 6pm for deals.

Jumping Jack you can buy in wide, and they have great sturdy sandals. Same for Sperry.

We buy a lot of Saucony shoes on Amazon because they come in wide styles. Toms are super narrow so those don't work for us either. But I've found that the Target camp sandals are cut wide enough for both my kids. They seem to mostly need the extra width in sneakers.

My 3 year old daughter wears an extra wide in stride rite sneakers. Her sister's hand me down (appropriately sized) keens are hard to get on her feet. They seem a bit too narrow, or maybe they don't allow for the height of her foot. The Phibian shoes rub on her lower ankles a bit, but they seem to be the correct size (it's the material?). We don't have a good answer yet. She loves her See Kai Run mary jane shoes. That brand runs very wide.

For an easy wash summer style that can get wet, we order Stride Rites in W. The Phibian style might be closest to Natives. Or Crocs (I know) and Keens.

My DS’s feet are wide and we ended up in Stride Rites when he was a toddler because you can specifically buy a wide width. We also had luck with Keens because they run wide.

DS2’s feet are too wide/fat for Natives or Toms Rompers. Are any brands suggested for “bigger” toddler feet and shoes that are similar? Thanks!
