Fun, walkable, energetic as opposed to strip mall in the suburbs.

Kardinal Hall. They have board games the kids and adults can play. Great inside and outside seating.

Marie Bette is great for brunch if you get a table. Place is the best so it’s always packed.

One more - Blue Mountain Brewery. It's about 30 min from C'ville past Crozet, but you can't beat the scenery and food. There's also a huge area for the kids to run and play.

Agree with Three Notched. Another good one is Mellow Mushroom on the corner. Kid friendly, lots of TVs. We also like local - very similar to founding farmers.

It's awesome, but is TINY and doesn't take reservations, a group of 7 could be a challenge

Three Notched Brewery is AWESOME. The food is very good (we have really high standards) and best of all, they have a kid play area. They also have a play area outside. It’s in IX Park which is neat too, and walkable from downtown.

This is 13:24 and yes the new Three Notched facility in Ix Park is a go to for diners with children.

Some other options:

Whiskey Jar
Sultan Kebab
South Street Brewery (though Three Notched's beer is better IMO)

Is anyone familiar with restaurants in Charlottesville? I'm looking for a good place for a family birthday dinner for my husband that needs to be kid friendly as well. I'm open to all sorts of options. Ambiance or a good part of town a plus. Doesn't need to be fancy or expensive. Thank you!
