You have credit card debt and you live with your parents? I mean this kindly, but get your finances in order ASAP. There is no reason for you to be in any of these predicaments. Dave Ramsey is a initial resource; his podcasts are recommended here frequently.

How old are you ? This is childish priority. Get a second job, get the loan down and sell it. You can always buy another one later when you leave your parents house.

How much is the insurance on that car? Probably $200 a month.
Trade in the car. Buy a cheap used Japanese car and get a 2nd job. Working 2 jobs for the next 10 years will hopefully keep you from buying cars that depreciate faster than you can pay them down.

You sound like you are a little pissed with your mom for charging you rent.

She did this because she doesn't want to support you any longer. She is trying to teach you responsibility. Trade in the car and get something fuel efficient/reliable and grow the f* up.

Yes, but you cannot afford it. No reason your mom should not charge $400 when your priority is your car. Get a second job.

Can’t you roll the remainder beyond the trade-in into a new loan? You need a CHEAP used fuel-efficient sedan. Get your payment down to half its current amount.
