OP here and I agree. We have an accord and I know it is a solid, well made, will go forever car but it is not comfortable.

My cars have always been pretty standard and basic, so this might be my norm, but what's uncomfortable about Hondas? I have driven a Civic for 17 years and it gets the job done. I realize there are no bells or whistles, but I've never been uncomfortable....

I am dying for the Honda Odyssey of my dreams. I wish my small sedan would just die already. I've researched both the Sienna and Odyssey a lot and both are very comparable in price and fixtures. The Odyssey just got a remodel whereas the Sienna is coming due for one.

OP, I like this thread. We are planning to upgrade our 2001 Civic in the next year with a mini-van. I am thinking Odyssey too.

Very easy to get the kids in and out, love the remote buttons so I can pop the doors as we walk out of daycare and 4 yr old can climb in while I'm buckling the 1 1/2 year old. Drives very smoothly, rear row seats are super easy to put down (fold flat into floor) when we need the space. Odyssey also was the only one to pass the front crash test, Toyota Sienna didn't pass it, at least not when I was buying a couple years ago.

Oh, great I'll check that out. Good info.

We have a 2010 odyssey. Still going strong and I imagine will be for a long while yet. They are popular because they're well made, dependable vehicles that retain their value really well.

We are getting a minivan! Not an SUV, or crossover. It will be a minivan.

We will probably get a new one because I want all the bells and whistles. We have two small toddlers but might have more children. Safety, comfort, excellent features...we want it all.

All I see are Odyssey's: why? Are they truly the best, or just the most popular?

Thanks, Minivan Moms (and Dads!)
