Above PP again, buy cheap clothes for daycare, go to the thrift store and buy stuff you dont care too much about.

I buy DD 3-4 pairs of gloves from Dollartree every year, so I dont care if she loses a pair.

Other parents. If you get something that's not yours, you send it right back in. Other parents don't notice or bother.

Put your kids name on everything. I think the only thing we lost in daycare was a sock. Everything was labeled.

Back to the subject at hand, it is reasonable to ask the teachers if they can locate any of the missing items but I wouldn't sweat the small missing things since it's just common to lose items at daycare. Only bring stuff you can spare to lose to daycare... so don't wear the nicer clothing, etc.

It's NOT hard to keep track of 8 kid's things. How do I know? I own a daycare and have never lost a single item. All the items are labeled and even when they are not, guess what- you still know what items belong to each child.

You guys expect a lot for $300 a week. The care of your children's clothing is the least of the daycare worker's responsibilities.

I'm PP, The caretakers are super busy... while it is VERY annoying and costly, I think it's just something you have to accept as part of daycare. Talk to the teachers though and ask... maybe they can send an email to all the parents to return any clothes if they aren't their kids clothes, etc.

YES. I'm dealing with this now. Many missing tshirts, I keep buying more and I had the last straw! Yesterday I bought 3 new target tees and 1 is MISSING ALREADY. So annoying. I label them too!

Our 15 month old goes to daycare and often comes home missing
clothes and/or other items like sippy cups.
This has been happening regularly since he transitioned to a room with 8 other kids. He will often come
home with other kids’ clothing and gear too.

I get that a lot of potty accidents happen during the day and its tough to manage every kid but I feel like its sloppy and careless. My wife is very passive so she thinks its no big deal but the kid now has no winter hats because they’ve all been left or lost. Im starting to get more and more annoyed woth this, given that we pay $300/week for these people to take care of him.

Has this happened to anyone else?
