My 10 year old went with a few friends and another parent last weekend. He is fairly sensitive, prone to nightmares, and was absolutely fine with the movie. We spoke about it later and he would recommend it for kids his age (4th grade).

Has your son seen the other Marvel movies like Civil war or the other avengers movies? If he has and was ok with those, Infinity Wars should be ok too.

There's a lot of death. It's not gory/splattery death. Some of the death is permanent and potentially upsetting.

I agree though that if your child has seen the other movies - especially the ones that came out in the past several years they should be ok.


That should be two separate sentances up above about the death.

Some of the death is permanent
Some of the death is potentially upsetting.

These are not necessarily the same characters dying.

My husband took our almost-10 yr old DD to it last weekend and she was fine with it. She's seen all of the other Marvel movies but I would say she's a pretty average 4th grader when it comes to movie violence, not overly brave or tolerant. I stayed home with our 8 yr old due to reviews.

We took our 8-hard old over the weekend. He was fine with it. We did have to emphasize that there would obviously be a sequel.

If your almost 10yewr old plays any video games at all or has seen the other Marvel movies, he’ll be fine. Our DS had seen Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, the Spiderman, and Ironman movies.

My teen joked that they did not include Dead Pool in the Infinity War movie so it could be PG-13.

FWIW, my 5th grader tells me lots of his classmates have seen it. I haven't taken him yet (he's 11) because it sounds so grim. But he's seen a lot of the others.
