Annapolis is really nice.

Gettysburg - my ES age kids liked this a lot since we let them play at devil’s den.

Flag Ponds Nature Park for fossil / sharks teeth hunting followed by Calvert Marine Museum.

You said natural wonders, but if you have young kids, up to PA to Dutch Wonderland and the train museum.

We did a day trip to Annapolis one year.

Harper's Ferry is on my list.

This summer we'll probably do Luray Caverns.
