If Carmax has the car you want, and you have done your research re: options and pricing, and the price is on par with the area, why not? Besides, if you are undecided, Carmax helps narrow the choices.

It's good to be a used car in southern California, all my east coast rust disappeared by itself.

Jim Coleman Toyota - we have had 2 really good, reliable Corolla's from them. Always a few years older model than the current year.

A 4-8 year old vehicle with 60,000 miles...look on Autotrader, but set the search radius nationwide.

Have you tried Craigslist & Autotrader?

Make sure you let people know you are looking.

Perhaps post an ad online letting people know what you are seeking too.

Ask your mechanic.
Some of them sell used vehicles on the side.
