I also learned to kayak.
I just took a Community Emergency Response Team training class (32 hours), that teaches you how to help, as a citizen, during a mass casualty or other disaster. It taught triage, higher level first aid, fire suppression, mass shooter exercises, etc. The best part of it was a heightened situational awareness, IMO. The classes are free. Google your jurisdiction if you are interested. I took it in montgomery county.

I'm going to take a wilderness survival class next.
And I've signed up for a GIS (geographic information system) certificate at Montgomery College. That will actually be useful for my job.
And I am learning Spanish on the Duolingo app. I am in a "race" with my son, who's taking Spanish in school.
