Personally, I would never want to be responsible for judging anyone's fitness to drive.

Guests must stay out of the bedrooms.

You need to contact the parents if they are sleeping over. What would happen if a child had a 2 am curfew and didn't show up. You want the parent or police at your door.

My son just went to party where no cars were allowed at all. You had to be transported by a parent or uber (or I suppose a limo if it were that sort of prom). It was a pain in the neck but kind of genious.

(We dropped off and he paid for uber home)

Let kids crash, but make them do it in open areas. No couples heading off to rooms alone to sleep. At least that was our rule. I know they’re hooking up, but I wanted to try to prevent The prom night stereotype as much as possible.

I don't anticipate it going on longer than 2-3am but if someone appears groggy or incapacitated. then they stay

So wife and I agreed to have our doors open for our daughters friends after the the prom.

We are going to be serving some food and beverages, alcohol in the house will be secured

1. No alcohol/drugs, we will not be doing a bag search though
2. If anyone comes that is high/drunk they will not be turned away and can sleep it off, parents may or may not be called.
3. No one is permitted to leave with out first talking to a parent (just to judge fitness to drive) In case they are are too tired or someone snuck in some booze
4. Not a sleepover party, but if someone does crash we won't be kicking them out.
5. no one is permitted to come in the back door
