I am a huge fan of Jose Andres, but to me this is the equivalent of families that go on vacation and eat at Applebee’s.

It may seem silly to go when you can go here, but the Head Chef at Jaleo (in the Cosmopolitan) is a DC transplant, with longtime roots in DC. He is a veteran of Jaleo and Café Atlantico, and his family owned Mixtec in Adams Morgan and Enriqueta's in Georgetown for years.

Depends when you go. Most were pretty empty the few times we went. They acted like you needed a reservation but had 2/3rds empty tables.

Aureole at Mandalay Bay. Michelin starred but not outrageously priced. Partial because my wedding reception was there

No, the Buchannel Buffet at Casears is constantly rated the number 1 buffet in Vegas. Pricey but worth it.

Heading to Vegas with the husband soon (just us, no kids). Staying on the strip and looking for buffet and regular restaurant suggestions (within walking distance of Mirage). We appreciate good food and are willing to spend some money, but don't want anything ridiculously expensive. Probably the highest I'd ever go is $50 an entrée and that food had better be super amazing!
