Yup. What is it with posters who are so concerned with the inconvenience of his losing his license and the ease with which he can get to work? He deprived an infant of his life! This guy just needs to get a job closer, near public transportation. Maybe he needs to buy a place closet to a metro station. Maybe he'll have to get a smaller place of it's closer to metro.
Oh well. Stripping someone of his life comes with all sorts of inconveniences.

People are up in arms because he didn't get out of his car. He called a lawyer and waited there. A lawyer (that was in the scope of finances) he knew thanks to teaching golf.
He's managed to dwindle his sentence down so much. He's one step away from acting like none of this happened.

People are only up in arms because it was a baby killed. Every person convicted of this crime has the right to petition for work release. Every person convicted of this crime has the right to petition for a restricted license.

John Miller, the man who hit and killed an infant in 2016 received a 12 months in jail for two misdemeanor convictions. That was eventually trimmed to daytime work release. He is now trying to trim it further to get a restricted license to drive.
