Insertion of my first hurt. Second time I remembered to take ibuprofen beforehand and felt nothing. Both times 8w PP.

Removal of my first IUD was painless and I only felt the speculum. The midwife showed it to me so I knew it was out. I was pregnant in less than a month.

Got pregnant 6 weeks later then when my first child was 6 months old (whoops) ... good luck!

I've had three, all removals were a slight pinch, then totally fine. You may have withdrawal bleeding, but I didn't have any bleeding for six weeks after my last removal.

Mine was no problem coming out. A little pinchy but by no means awful. I got my period exactly on schedule (I always had a tiny bit of spotting with it). I had Mirena.

Same for me. My OB was surprised that they even asked me to put the robe on. Super easy and not really painful for me at all. Mirena as well.

I was really anxious about it (like ugly crying in the exam room). It was really NBD. About as uncomfortable as a Pap. It was really quick, and I don’t remember a ton of bleeding.

Mine was a Mirena.

What should I expect? Is it painful? Lots of bleeding, I know.
