I'd interpret the invitation as if you work across the street from the center and want to take 20 minutes away to snap a photo of your kid with a bunny, then you'd be welcome. Otherwise, nothing to worry about skipping.

I guess it's not the "farm" or the "zoo" that really matters but in general should I be going to all of these preschool "events" that are not really events for parents so to speak. The preschool is great with enriching activities for the students but is it worth going is what I'm trying to determine. Something like a school performance is greatly worth going to but if a person from the zoo stops by and shows the kids a few reptiles for 15 mins. while in school is that worthy for me to attend. That's what I'm trying to figure out.
For example, Fall festival seems worthy because it's an event.
