Signed up my two kids 11 and 13 for Bach to Rock in this summer. Didn't even think of the age issue...hope they have fun.

OP here. DS wants to do some sort of rock band, DD wants to sing. The only singing in School of Rock is some kind of Diva singer camp, and DD prefers the Glee Club offering at Bach to Rock. But I'll take the PP's and maybe try to find some of DS's friends to also sign up with him.

It's fine as long as there are other kids that age in the band. Some weeks have older kids. My kids did the camp at that age ---with friends or with other older kids and it was terrific = their band was often one of the best coordinated--- just call and see if any older kids are signed up.

Thanks PP. Maybe I should be sending them to School of Rock in Silver Spring instead.

I called them last week about sending my 8 year old to band camp. They said most of the kids would be 7-10 years old.

Has anyone's teens done Bach to Rock camp? Their website and facebook page makes it appear that it caters more to the younger set. I have 12 and 13 year olds who I'm considering signing up for their rock and glee club camps, but I wanted to get more info about others' experiences, especially teens/tweens.
