The nnat scores were mailed to me two years ago. One year we got the Cogat scores sent home loose. A parent complained and our school probably won’t do that again.
Have you ever volunteered to stuff folders? It takes a fair amount of time. The nnat scores won’t be given to a parent volunteer either, and they’ll give it to the teacher to send Home. With the Cogat scores at our school they said they did it that way to try to get it to us as soon as possible.
People complain about how long it takes to send these scores but just recognize that these other steps take more time. And maybe it’s worth it, but it does take more time.
I didn’t understand what the Cogat score sheet meant myself so I didn’t have concerns that my kid saw it and could understand it.
