An RV and a car are very different. You can see if you can get it towed for long-term parking on a non-campsite though.

Maybe call a homeless shelter? Or a social program.

How in the world did they get a permit?

How do 3 people manage to sleep in one car? Is it a really large car?

No kids and I did ask (and was told no). But I hope cursing at a random stranger improved your well being tonight.

Why don't you talk to them and see if you can help. There are no children I hope (otherwise you are a cruel asshole).

I thought your post was going to ask how you could help them.

You can call the non emergency phone number in dc to tell them the situation and they will give you advice.

Op here- you raise a fair point. Hence, the dilemma. Not sure whether police should or would do anything about this. I just want to know whether there is any law against this in DC in case things get worse (for example, as you may imagine, bathroom/garbage has been an ongoing problem. Plus I heard there was a fight between one of the guys and a neighbor). But yes- go ahead- call me a deplorable.

Wait, three people have been sleeping in a freaking car for months and you’re more worried about your safety than their health or well-being? DC really is full of deplorables these days, just not the kind Hilary had in mind.

You can report them to the police? Reach out to your precinct. And your ANC member.

I have no idea. But a neighbor talked to them and we know for sure they do not have a DC address and they live in the car.

How did they get a residential permit with no residence?

Three people have been sleeping in a car parked in front of my house for months now. I initially thought this is fine and eventually they will move on. But I am a single mom and I am getting worried that these people know when we go in and out of the house, when packets are delivered etc. Today I noticed they got a residential permit. Is there anything that can (should?) be done about this?
