Not unusual at all. Homicides are sadly very common and thus not particularly newsworthy.

I'm not convinced it was drugs. He was a single dad and worked at Booz Allen as an analyst (clearance?).

It does seem odd that the killer would think to lock the door behind them.

I just went down a rabbit hole with this (google and Facebook) and I think I used to work with his mom. How sad.

I agree that the police know who it is and that is why information isn’t being released. I also think it was drug related. It’s always seems to turn out to be drug related- regardless of friends/family claiming otherwise.

Doesn’t seem a likely candidate for drugs. Also neighbors didn’t hear anything and the doors were locked and no wine of forced entry, isn’t that odd?

More likely drugs

They know who did it, but either can’t find them, can’t prove it, or both. It will come out eventually. They don’t say “no threat” unless they mean it.

I’d say there’s evidence indicating domestic violence, which is why the police are saying not to worry. They probably don’t want the cause of death released so they can build the case against the suspected murderer.

Used to live near there, but hadn't heard about this. Lack of information is indeed suspicious.

Anyone have theories on what happened? And why did the media go radio silent on this? There were a couple of stories when it happened and then nothing. And police are not sharing details. This is sad and frightening. How can they say there’s no immediate threat to public but not share what happened?
