Going next week anyways. But I can see her gmail inbox, she's receive zero new student, welcome, invite to admit weekend emails. I'm fairly sure every college sends admits at least one email after decision day.

HA! No scam, it's our long-term *mailing* address. Home address is here.

Why would you use the summer address? They can see where she went to high school to know its a scam.

Sign up for informed delivery and you’ll get and mail with a photo of any mail being delivered to the house.

Nearly all of the info for my DDs schools went through the portal. And WL notices needed to be responded to to stay on the list. She’s being foolish and potentially losing opportunities.

Presuming you used a summer home address for tuition reasons but you will want to make sure you can access the mail regularly year-round if she does enroll from that address.

Kind of on the same subject, we are unsure how to decline offers of admission. After I *finally* got my son to check his admission portals, there seem to be no options for declining - only accepting. Anyone else have this experience?

I would just let her not check then. If she later discovered that she missed out due to sulking, it will be a good learning experience for her.

She won't budge. She'll check, eventually, I'm sure.

Would colleges be emailing her if accepted or does she have to 'trigger' the emails checking the portal decision? I assume the invites to accepted student days would be emailed. As would any follow-up notes from the Dean or President to get you to put in deposit and commit.

And all of her college mail goes to summer house, so I'd have to drive four hours total to get it, without knowing if any acceptance packages are even there. She got WL by first and only college she checked and just didn't want to be depressed checking the others (she assumes all rejections/WLs). She claims no emails from any colleges have come since decision days, so she takes that as rejection.

Is that true, they'd be emailing her random things if she was accepted?
