There is St. Martin of the tours in Brentwood, girls only.

There is the Lycee middle and high schools in Culver City - just close by to Westwood.

DS is at St. Paul the Apostle and we all love that school.

Marymount is a great all-girls school on the westside (near UCLA), but you'd need to go to a different school for 8th. Corpus Christi, St Matthews, and St Paul the Apostle are all good and all go to 8th grade, I believe.

Marlborough for girls (a little far though).

May be moving to LA from another east coast city (not DC). dd would be rising 8th grader and ds would be rising 5th. They both currently attend the most academic privates in our city. The only school I am familiar with is Harvard Westlake. What are the other privates with rigorous academics accessible from west side? Any catholic schools we should consider? I seem to recall from our last stint in LA that there were some in Beverly Hills area. Looking for a traditional school so not Crossroads. Also, in what grade does middle school start?
